Catch up

Daddy helping Helen on the walker.
Ditto. She's got snoop dog-type drawers going on.
We headed to Savannah, GA on a whim last memorial day weekend. H was great. She seems to like to be dragged around everywhere, so it worked out well.
Savannah has really cool trees. We had to watch Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil after we got home. It's one of my favorite movies and it was fun to see the city and other places of note in the movie. We've now visited all the cities in Georgia with names of G-babies. :-)
Bonaventure cemetery was really cool and not too creepy in the day time.
We had to drive down to Tybee Island so H could get her toes wet in the Atlantic ocean.

A little late afternoon snooze.
Bonus bathtub shot.

P.S. H is doing great as of her 9-month check up a couple weeks ago. Still very long (at 95 percentile) and leveling out in weight (75 - 90) which I guess is a good thing according to the Dr. We are having more and more trouble in the diapering department though. I've been meaning to do a web search on "diaper straight jacket" or "diaper stun gun" and see what comes up. It's become almost a 2 person job, and even that is a process! Oi! Any suggestions?

These new pictures were just yummy! Mommy and Daddy can be very proud of the wonderful job they are doing raising dear Helen. Her check up shows that she is thriving and a very healthy and happy baby girl. Her little body is so beautiful and full of life and fun. Love the picture of Mommy and Helen at the waters edge. Also had a problem with rascal babies when they needed their diapers changed. Will call you Mary. xoxxo Grandma

Ah, the "I'm almost one watch me squirm while getting my diaper changed" phase. It lasts a while. We moved the changing mat to the floor, and occasionally had to put one leg across the baby to hold him down! But only in moments of desperation. Amazing how funny they think it is to try to get away with a not-yet-cleaned-or-rediapered bum!

My friend Kathy also changed the baby on the floor and hold her body down by half sitting (not with weight) on her... although this might have been at an older age. Not sure. We're approaching the squirmy diaper changes too... right now the problem is getting her feet out of her mouth so we can attach the tabs on the side, but she's getting more squirmy every day!
